History

A group of prominent people from
Bucaramanga and American residents, inspired by the Mayor of
Bucaramanga at that time, Mr. Guillermo Sorzano Gonzalez (deceased),
and Hernando Reyes Duarte, who was the President of the National
Association of Industrialists – ANDI gathered together on June 12th,
1957 at the Bucaramanga Chamber of Commerce and unanimously decided to
found the Binational Center – Centro Colombo Americano – at Bucaramanga

The Foundation Minutes were approved as well as the
corresponding statutes and bylaws determining legal and administrative
issues. The first Directive Board, that was conformed by the 12
founder-members, started to work immediately..
